Roof Speared
This is the branch that speared through the roof of my garage during last week's storms. Worse, water came in and ruined some of my Marx playset boxes, and perhaps some of my collectible paperbacks. I'll be climbing up into the loft this weekend to assess the damage. The roof is being repaired as we speak.

So is the insurance paying off?
Hahahahahah. Ahhh-hahahahahaha! There is other damage elsewhere and maybe enough to outdistance the deductable. I'll know more when I get the paperwork.
Looks deadly.
It penetrated a Fort Apache box. I don't know it any cavalrymen were killed.
Got the insurance check a little while ago. I didn't do as badly as I expected, but the IRS will gobble that up.
Looks like you dodged a bullet (or spear). You escaped some major damage. I'd get rid of that tree (and any others near your house).
It'll cost a lot, but I'm having them removed. Six very tall trees in a tight area. Oy vey!
