Kit of the Day: Collie

Here's a collie I call Champion Denton's Laddie Good Boy. He's another plastic model kit from Bachmann that was issued in the early 1960s. The paints that come with these kits are hard little buttons that are supposed to melt when mixed with Bachmann's thinner--a tolulene solution. The colors that came with this kit weren't for this pooch so I used oils and mixed the shades as best I could.

Denton's as in Frank?

The same. His folks raised collies when he was a kid.

This collie model really turned out nice Bob. You've inspired me to seek out some dog and bird kits. A little deviation from the normal aircraft and cars as it were.

Nice, we had a (standard) Collie when I was growing up. Brushing it was a chore, but she was a really sweet dog.

Say, what's up with the "The Right Reverend Cap'n Bob Napier, Curator of Bobangelism Worldwide"? Starting your own type of Scientology, eh?

I would never emulate that disgusting group. I got an on line ordainment and wish to use my life experiences to help mankind. For a small consideration, of course.
