Throwback Thursday

With the vote today that will decide whether Scotland becomes an independent nation or remains a part of Great Britain, I thought it appropriate to throw back however many centuries it was when this became the coat of arms for the Napier clan. The motto means "without stain."

Do any of you have a family coat of arms?

No coat of arms here, but yours is cool.

That's a nice Tartan. CoA is cool.

Of course, we're just taking your word on the translation. It might just as easily mean "Always horny."

If you'd paid more attention in your French class you'd know better, Evan. Not that it wouldn't be an appropriate personal motto, and in my old age you could add "and going to stay that way."
